Uncreative Western Policy Is Another Reason For Rising US Gas Prices

The West's propping up deceptive middle east dictators has not worked out. The West is partly to blame for the middle east mess.  Just look at the corruption and mess in Iraq, Iran, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

The Middle East needs innovation not more narrow minded thinking and deception.  The west can offer modern schools teaching innovative thinking. Sadly the Middle East today is largely a toxic mix of tribalism, Shiite-Sunni sectarianism, fundamentalism, deception and petroleum. NY Times Article Innovative thinking in the middle east may help free their people from their old ways that have helped keep the corrupt in power. Meanwhile, petroleum tempts the west to intervene and or prop up the deceptive middle east dictators decade after decade.

If middle eastern cultures don’t share Western values, the west should insulate itself by reducing dependence on oil. The west can free itself from middle eastern oil, if they would only free the innovators with the best innovative technology.

There are many technologies available to reduce oil dependence.  Inventors world wide read about funding for alternative energy solutions going to energy firms with poor innovation track records. Meanwhile local Western governments often fear any type of innovation might topple their power base.

Obama administration wants to train more Afghan soldiers to fight and then the West can leave? Is this a joke? Clever Afghan men need to be trained to fight? Afghanistan defeated the UK and the Soviets!

The west angers the middle east by often meddling in their affairs. How would Westerners feel if their countries were seriously meddled with in like fashion by a foreign power? Yet, is the West sticking with a bad middle east war for fear of being called a wimp?

Some like to conveniently blame Obama for higher gas prices by protecting the environment by stopping risky oil ventures. While there is a point to this, there are safer ways to reduce middle east oil reliance than destroying nature. Also consider that the oil underground won’t go much of anywhere. Future innovations will offer safer ways of drilling and transporting oil for future generations.

It's time for healthy innovation to be brought back to California. Let ugly California politics get out of the way.
