How I Get Better Tech Support When Calls Are Outsourced Overseas. Think Global. It Works!

I learned to recognize accents early in age growing up overseas when dad worked at US Embassies for USIA. My mom is from Berlin. Dad's family goes back to the 1800's in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I promise this Intercultural Engineering TM method will increase the chances of getting better technical support much but not all the time. The simplified method shown here makes you and the tech support person feel better too..! 

Here is a small slice into the patent pending inventions you can use without technology.

1: Recognize the speaker's native language by how they speak.
• It can be construed as awkward were one to ask what country the person is in for many reasons you may guess. 

2: Take a guess and say thank you in their language.
• Chances are high they will say something like "what?" if you are not speaking their language.  Notice a small or big upbeat to their voice if you correctly recognized another language they speak. 
• Perhaps repeat it again in another sentence to reinforce your desire for being "one of them".
• Any condensation when saying their language only makes you a lousy ambassador from the country you are calling from whether you be in Europe, Japan, etc. (My blogs are read world wide).

Fairfield Election

For interesting and complicated reasons, i decided not to put my had into the Fairfield City Council election November 8, 2011. I almost beat Frank Kardos and Matt Garcia.

As for right now, I am predicting two of the following three may win the election:

Pam Bertani: Attorney. Don't know her well enough yet. Very ambitious.  Will probably rock the boat at Fairfield City Council.

Chuck Timm: Incumbant. Former police officer. Handle Fairfield PD's PR. Can be a nice guy.

Rick Vaccaro: Was appointed the seat though laws in other jurisdictions would have required I take the seat as I had the next most voters. He's a Solano County, California juvenile hall director. Rick however can be a nice guy.

How well do you try to know the candidates you vote for? Don't vote if you're just picking a name that sounds familiar. You owe it to the community and yourself to make good voting decisions.  Check independent news and blogs on the web and of course the local newspapers.  Did you know very few voters ever call the candidates though their phone numbers are usually posted on the mailers?

Consider Innovating Placebo Effect Studies In The Economist Magazine Article On Alternative Medicines.

The Economist suggests 90% of the alternative methods are ineffective. By listing them specifically the placebo effect goes out the window perhaps. At least the Economist let people continue believing the placebo effect.

The placebo effect from western medicine is also important. Without patient consent how do you fully prove the placebo effect is not required to make western medications work?  The patient is expecting some form of therapy from something.

Also subtle changes the patient may feel in the body may in itself suggest that there is not a placebo.  So placebo tests might include more than just sugar.

Unique recipe's are needed to formulate drugs that can enhance the placebo effect.

Another View On Purported "Possible Tech Bubble"

The tech bubble is caused by focusing on electronic patent rights that are supported by the bigger companies.

The "Economist" magazine wisely discusses how there's more money chasing good innovative ideas.  The result in possibly over inflating stock values may be true.  However most innovative electronic patent rights have yet to reach VC desks.

Hence the bubble's cause appears to be more from tunnel vision on limited innovations. History repeats itself. Most hot inventions don't get the needed recognition often years or decades later.
